The Village of Deià As viewed from afar, the village clinging to the mountains appears captivating and inspiring. And this with good reason, for the villages along the northwestern coast of Majorca were often visited by pirates over the centuries. If you explore the narrow and steep streets of Deià by foot, you will discover the studios of numerous artists.   enlarge picture Visit the church and visit its small churchyard. It's well worth it: The sculptors, Rafael Torres and Josep Sastre, and the painter, Guillem Torres, worked on the high altar. You will also find the grave of a famous writer, a simple tombstone with the inscription "Robert Graves, Poeta".

Insiders won't pass up the opportunity to take a walk through the countryside along the northwestern coast in the Tramuntana: to view the flora and fauna close up, to breathe in the fragrance of orange and lemon trees, to enjoy the views of the sea and cliffs from the mountainsides. We offer you special day walk. Our chief receptionist, Pepe, will gladly guide you on the historic horse trail once used by the Archduke Louis Salvador, climb out of the Tramuntana mountains and head down to Port Sòller, or take a walk with you on sunny days through the shaded woods. Between the 10th of April and the 14th of May and between the 25th of September and the 29th of October 2007 we offer a package of four organized walks per week with an appetizer in the mountains and a luncheon in a restaurant. The rate for this package is 180.00 Euros per person. These are also offered individually at the rate of 55.00 Euros per person per excursion.
